First Primary Vote Cast -- For Dean
DC opened absentee balloting for its primary and
the first votes were cast.
Tim Cooper, who is credited with orginating the idea for DC to go first to highlight their lack of equal Congrressional rights and lack of local self-government, cast the first ballot this morning.
[...] Before voting Cooper said, "I will cast my vote on behalf of the Democratic candidate I believe will be the most resolute and the most unwavering in his or her commitment to bringing down the Great Wall of Discrimination that surrounds the people of this city and bars them from enjoying equal representation," continued Cooper. "It is my belief that as DC votes, so will go the nation," he concluded.
Cooper revealed afterwards that he voted for Howard Dean.

See, lots of folks have been complaining because no votes have yet been cast, so no one can truly claim to be the frontrunner.
Until now. Dean is now officially the frontrunner! Go Dean! We Win! Hoopla!
(rolls on back and performs dance of the dogs...)
Because of popularity and chance to amass serious campaign money, the only other candidates with a legitimate shot are Clark and Vermin Supreme. Say, you notice how you never see Wes and Verm together? Hmm...
You two have a great site. Keep up the good work!
