May 18, 2004![]() A New Bat
Howard Dean is stumping for Kerry and asking for money. (The guy on the bat graphic has a cute Kerry logo on his shirt.) He still knows how to make an appeal:
Blog for America: A Message from Governor Dean Dear Friend,They're shooting for $500,000 in one day (and have so far reached $78,632). If you read the comments on the BFA thread, many many people are not going to help them reach the goal - "He'll have to be satisfied with my vote" is a common sentiment. To this I have three responses - 1) Yes, I know it sucks, but 2) Get over it (Dean says so!), and 3) Then again, I haven't given Kerry money yet either, so who am I to talk? It was a great note from Howard. Strongly and firmly worded. I actually doublechecked to see that the mail I got was coming from the Kerry campaign and not from DFA. And, as V knows, given the recent torture revelations, I have been seriously contemplating a significant donation to the Kerry campaign. I simply cannot abide the thought of another 4 years of Bush. And I suppose that today is the day to do it if I'm going to so that Dean gets the 'credit.' But, I'm on the road, for one thing, and I just don't know if I'm ready yet. Although, that is sounding hollow even to me, lately, so I dunno... Posted by: J at May 18, 2004 01:19 PMI sent Kerry $100 last week. It's imperative that he win this election.
