A Good Start
This is important and I'm glad to see
the Kerry campaign doing this.
Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry yesterday announced the formation of a nationwide SWAT team of election lawyers to combat the kind of voting irregularities that occurred in Florida four years ago, contributing to the disputed election of President Bush.
Kerry said his team would take "tough action" to prevent the kind of voter "intimidation and harassment" that kept about 1 million African American voters from the polls in 2000 and prevented about 57,000 black voters from casting votes in Palm Beach County, Fla.
[...] Kerry said his lawyers would "go after" local election officials who erroneously "purge people" from the rolls of registered voters.
Also, check this out, which is something I'm hoping we'll start to see become an issue for Chicken George. (Although, given the compliance and willingness to be used and abused of the Pavlovian, Heather-esque, 'all good people watch cable tv', media class, I doubt it.)
Kerry [...] promised to hold monthly news conferences if elected.

That is an excellent start indeed. Bravo to the Kerry/Edwards campaign! I'd say they've learned some valuable lessons from the 2000 election... including how Gore bungled Florida by selective requests in only heavily democratic counties. That really turned me off at the time. I'm very pleased to see the K/E campaign taking a vastly more fair approach.
